Ship Creek: open to current, fully trained volunteers AND new volunteers for training sessions
Mile Marker 95.3, Seward Highway: open to current, fully trained volunteers AND new volunteers for training sessions
Twentymile River: open to current, fully trained volunteers AND new volunteers for training sessions
The Point at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center: open to current, fully trained volunteers AND new volunteers for training sessions
Kenai River: open to current, fully trained volunteers
Kasilof River: open to current, fully trained volunteers

Upcoming Events
Mark your calendars for the annual Belugas Count! event. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Every September, thousands of Alaska residents and visitors gather along the shores of Cook Inlet, joining numerous marine mammal experts, to count Cook Inlet belugas, followed by an afternoon celebration. This is a free family-friendly event, hosted by NOAA Fisheries and dozens of partners. For more information, please visit the official event webpage or Facebook page.
